This class is designed for the beginning student. This is a fast paced, comprehensive, 8 week class. Class will start with the basics of sawing, piercing, filing and sanding. We will explore surface embellishment through stamping, roll printing, hammer texture, and more. Class will cover cold connections such as rivets and jump rings. Finally, we will dive into soldering. Students will learn how the soldering process works and will create a hand made bezel and learn how to set their stone. The skills that students learned earlier in the class will allow them to choose how to showcase their bezel set stone. We will explore rings, pendants, earrings and more!
The studio is equipped with all of the tools and materials you will need to complete the projects in this class.
Copper, Brass and Sterling Silver sheet will be available for sale.
